Rocas de Sena 2020 - Case of 6

This is Seña's second wine, but it's a very particular second, with quite its own personality. To begin with, the base is not cabernet sauvignon, but malbec (38% of the blend) and syrah (25%), with cabernet barely reaching 15%. The blend is completed with 14% grenache and 8% petit verdot. Both the grenache and the syrah come from the Las Vertientes Vineyard, about five kilometers east of the Seña Vineyard, in the Aconcagua Valley. This is a generous wine with flavors of black fruits, spices, and flowers. The body is succulent, but built with firm, sharp tannins. It's long in flavors and tense in acidity but with that voluptuousness that Mediterranean varieties give and that makes up a good part of its character.  95/100Patricio Tapia - Descorchados
