Right on the border with Vosne Romanée this is amongst the weightiest Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru with wonderful concentration, rich fruit and a succulent palate. "The shy nose needs swirling to wake up and then reluctantly gives up notions of red cherry, molten candlewax and stony freshness. More air allows more red-fruited charm to manifest itself. The palate is precise, structured, firm, but also brim-full of fruit. A compelling combination that only gains by being absolutely pervaded by brightest freshness. The tannins are firm but of finest silk, the finish is long and promising." - 95/100, Falstaff
